I am fortunate to have been accepted to medical school. My question is around post-acceptance/pre-matriculation verification of Work&Activities. I am both employed (non-clinical dept) AND volunteer (clinical) at the same small hospital. The hospital doesn't know that I’ll be giving notice this summer to move and start medical school. Would it be strange to ask the school I’ve been accepted to if they plan to verify my W&A, which has both my volunteering & employment at this hospital listed? I’m concerned what will happen if my employer finds out I’m leaving this summer, as I want to work as long as possible. They aren’t known to be the most friendly when they find out someone is leaving - I've seen them terminate people early upon finding out. And it's a very small hospital so I haven't told anyone there I've been accepted to medical school, since word gets around very quickly.

This is like asking a TSA agent if you are going to be randomly searched or not

Of course I would explain the reason when asking them, not just ask with no explanation.
