I have this problem called SDN
I swore I would stop checking but when?
With the forums all filled with advice
So well laid out and concise
Did I just press refresh again?

It's all becoming so clear
with the evening approaching so near
with so much time on our hands
even with all of of our demands
that time management class is the direction we should veer!
 
The waiting was feeding the fear
But now it's just bourbon and beer
With acceptance in hand
On the floor I will land
And I'll stay there the rest of the year.
 
i'll swear this is my last
and that it'll then be in the past
but somehow i well know
that someone will inspire me not to go
after all, it has been a blast
 
haha i love writing random poems. here's my two cents


There once was a pre-med gunner,
Who found all-nighters that much funner,
He sat in the front,
And asked questions blunt,
So his rejection was quite a stunner!

My best effort:

It's well-known that pre-meds are crazy,
but some of them also are lazy,
I waited til August
my AMCAS to audit,
Alas! the waiting is hazy.

[although, I really should have posted this before yesterday! 😀]
 
A California Dilemma:

The UC's they will not call me back,
Check my status like I am on crack,
May have to leave my mate,
'Cos he won't leave the state,
And maybe I'll never come back!

(there's a reason I got B's in English, poetry ain't my bag baby 😉 )

What's the difference between hydroboration
and oxydemercuration?
The main one, I scoff
is Markovnikov
Which leads to opposite carbon hydration.

Summer vacation

While Sally crossed through France on mule

*pronounced "miserab", so it sort of rhymes
 
A surgical future to look forward to:

I’m starting to lose my creativity
As med school and res. drains the life out of me
They said med. was an art
But ice cold is my heart
At least I get to cut people—hehe.

Ode to Continuing to Fill Out Med School Apps

I was starting to think I would quit
Filling out all these apps for a bit.
I even withdrew
From a school or two
But I found one more school that's a fit. 😛
 
Another week and I am still waiting
While adcoms are slow contemplating
to interview me or no
why they torture me so
this process is getting quite grating

i must admit i feel a bit uneasy
that my own state school is being so cheesy
for it's been almost 8 weeks since last I heard
don't you think that's sleezy?
after all i just want the word.

I'm applying to do MSTP,
Because PhDs are so dreamy,

I thought about applying there; they have a rep for liking non-trads. But I didn't end up doing it.
