Actually, I don't look old though, and with the proper fashion adjustments (perhaps wearing my jeans a little saggy in the back), I could pass for 27 with no problem. lol

i dunno about u guys, but im planning to meet my future wife in medical school. i actually like intelligent, driven, cute, talkative girls.
at my college (though it's in the top 20), the girls are stupid, ghetto, and ugly. like i said in my earlier post, my school is only 30-40% girls.
the odds are already not good, but to make that worse, the goods are odd.

I hear ya. I think most of us who are still single think about this a lot, but at the same time are realistic enough to keep from hoping too much.
My family doc met her husband during residency. I think at the time the program (a small rural family practice program) only had 8 new residents each year, so imagine the odds of marrying one of them? I think it's a sweet idea, though. You'd think two physicians would be extremely compatible.

Shoot, I might as well take a stab at it . . . 22 year old single white male 5'10" recently available and sure not to last long. If you happen to be in the c'ville area give me a ring. . . in all seriousness I'm looking forward to going to medical school and meeting new people. I think people in similar circumstances have a much easier time connecting. But I'll be in med school to be a Dr . . . if I meet someone that'll be great. If not then I'm sure I'll still have plenty of friends to have a good time with.

to the single ladies......
i know a lot of premed single ladies are panicking because about 70% enter medical school either committed, married, or in some sort of relationship. there's no need to panic or worry because just know that i (the nicest, good-looking guy out there) will still be available when entering medical school.

Why do people panic over this issue...is there a law I don't know of that says med students can only legally date other med students? Date med students, date nurses, PA's, vet students, biochemistry graduate students, the secretaries at the admissions office, undergrads in the school, people at the local bar, etc...the sky's the limit, you dont have to limit yourself to your class.
Plus think about it, if you break up with your classmate significant other like in your first year, those last 3 years of med school will be reeeeaaaally awkward.

Sometimes I"m really talkative, but other times I'm really quiet. I think it's a nice balance. 😀

Last week I am walking out of class after a Bio exam. We hand in the scantron, and get to keep the test. So I finish, leave the class, and I am walking back to my dorm when this girl comes up behind me and says, "Hey, can I ask you something?" And she asked me about 5-6 questions about the test. We walked/talked for about 5 minutes, and she got in to how she recieved and 84 on the first test and was striving for an A (sounds like she belongs here), and then we joked about the professor a bit and exachanged names. Then she went to her car, and I headed back to my dorm. Two days later I notice shes in my Geography class as well (theres 220 people in this class), but I am hesitant to go up to her for some reason. Multiple classes of bio/geo have passed now without us talking. I'm not sure whether I should try to go up and talk to her, and everytime I think I am about to, I think wait, she just wanted to know the answers to the test, and could care less about me. I keep waiting for her to come up to me, but I am thinking I should just go up and talk to her? How do I know if she was interested in me or the exam?<sigh...>

Anyway, I dont know, for some reason I would feel nagging if I went up to her. I mean, what if her intent was really to know the answers to the exam, and she could care less about me? I dont want to bother her or anything. If I was 100% sure that she was interested, then yeah, I would go up to her. But I just dont know.

and even if she's a little interested, nothing will happen if you don't go up to her....at least do it for us who are out of college w/o a gf and don't have chances like this anymore

People tell me college years are the 'golden' years of your life, or the 'dating years.' I read an article in my school newspaper discussing the difficulty of meeting new people outside of the university setting. Pretty interesting, and somewhat depressing actually.
