Predict your April MCAT!

yea, i guess i'll make an abstract prediction:

PS: 11-12
I had only 10s and 11s on my practice tests, though more 11s than 10s, and on the last two i was 1 point from a 12 both times. i thought the PS went pretty well, but to give myself some room, i'm saying 11-12. could even be a 13 if the curve is generous. we'll see.

VR: 9-11
i was happy to finish the VR section on time this time around (last august, i had to guess for the 5-6 questions on the last passage, and i came out with an 8). i felt pretty good about mst of it. again, this depends on test passages/questions, and on the curve. i don't think it could have been any worse than a 9, though.

BS: 9-11
had a hard time w/a bad headache through the BS...but i think i was still able to focus enough on the questions to do ok. some were just totally random anatomy ?s.

overall: 29-34

would be happy with 30+

I'm predicting a 35 (PS 12, VR 10, BS 13). My practice tests were all around 34 until my last one which was a 39. The only one that I really have a decent feeling about is BS since I don't remember how I felt about the morning section. It sorta was blocked out after lunch. I do remember feeling rushed on PS, and having some crazy 10 question agriculture passage on VR that I didn't like, so hopefully it wasn't too too bad.

i didnt feel wonderful or terrible... so im just gonna wait and not predict anything...

okay, it's time for someone to be realistic!
i'm expecting a 24, although my practice tests say 29. that PS and BS ate me alive.

i'm thinking
PS- 11
VR- 9
BS- 10
this is what i would be happy with and wasn't that confident with the BS section so to be more realistic i hope i didn't do any worse than a 28...i sure hope i dont have to retake.

Is anyone thinking about not retaking??

i have thought long and hard about this, and i think im just gonna go to st georges or ross if i cant crack like a 28 or 29 this time around

i took it in august, prepared for like 6 weeks, and got a 23 😱 😕

so if after like double that time studying i cant get something decent im out of here

is anyone else going thru this?

hrusky17 i'm thinking

BS- 10

The exam yesterday was definitely an ego crusher! Despite getting in the range of 31-34 in my last few practice exams, I think I'm lucky to escape with a PS-11, VR-9, BS-10 also! I am considering retaking also if I get lower than 28. At the end of the exam I felt despair...all that effort and sacrifices for 4 months for this one test felt like it was all for nothing as I pondered the possibility that I would have to do this again in August.

You probably did very well if that was your score range. Even the best of the best feel crushed right after the test. But they still get scores similar to diags. So you'll probably be fine. Try not to sweat it. GOOD LUCK.

How were you doing on diags??? If you don't improve then the Carib is not a bad option. However, I recall reading that your diags were pretty well. If that's the case, you most likely did better this time around. Most people who I knew, that retook, went up like 6 points if they put double time practicing and reviewing what they didn't understand well enough.

i would be really heartbroken if i had to take it again...but if i scored less than 28, i would probably try again.

I think you probably improved this time. Your score ranges were much higher and you were more confident. Those two things coupled generally equal better outcomes. Don't sweat it. I'm sure you improved. A lot of people who've retaken it have seen 5-6 point increases. So I think its definitely possible and your score range prediction is probably accurate. I'm going to predict about a 30-32 range for you. But wouldn't be surprised if you fell anywhere within the range you stated.

I f*** up the verbal section bad. The other two went okay. Hopefully,
PS: 12-13
Verbal: 6-7
Bio: 11-12

29- 32

guess I have to retake it =(

I writing it down to keep me honest come June and when making a decision whether or not to retake.

PS-11 +/-1
VR-12 +/-1
BS-12+/-1

im going insane trying to guess what i got, but im not going to cuz of karma...but just a word about predictions for everyone that feels crushed-last year, i royaly skrewed up my time on verbal, like it was insane, and i literally guessed 10 questions toward the end and got a 10...i thought i did awesome on bio and got an 8, i swear i miss-bubbled, anyways, the point is that its really hard to predict ur score based on how you felt about it, esp for verbal, you probably did alot better than you think

that's scary to think that you did awesome and then get an 8. if that happens to me on the PS then i might just have to drink until i can't remember my score.

No one bold enough to predict a 40 yet this time?

There are quite a few posters I believe to have gotten at least a 40. Well at least a couple who I think will get 40+. But I'm refraining from saying names to not jinx them, since they are superstitious to some degree. But believe me, there are at least 2 people I think will get 40+ and 1 or 2 more that I think could easily score 38-39 and yet another few who I believe will get between 35-37 range.

Dude, read your own sig...

There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.
-Al Hajj Malik Al Shabazz,
known as Malcolm X

there's really no point to "predicting" your score. You'll probably get a mindset that you'll actually score that score, and if you don't.... 😱 +pity+ 😱

i've taken exams and i felt crappy...but then i did good. felt good, did bad. and vice versa for each.

it's better to just put it out of your ahead and set yourself up for 3 points below your lowest score. than you won't be disappointed when your score comes in. you'll actually feel good.

Malcom X could kick Chuck Norris's butt just by taking his glasses off. Not that he'd bother.

Wow! Where did you get that little guy that plays violin? I play violin too! I want that as my sdn icon. Instead, I just have a blue blank.

Not only do you talk a good game, you have an interesting avatar that would be perfect if it were referring to an M Coupe and not the M3.

I for one, would like to see a real scan of your results (sans the identifying marks, of course) just to help me maintain my faith in people's honesty.

I will do the same.

I think Teerawit will get a 40+, considering that's how he did towards the end on his diags. I believe 41 was his highest. Its most likely to be closer to his real score then 30.

My practice tests were so variable that I don't even have a guess. The ones that I thought I did really good on would be 30ish and the ones I didn't think went so well would be higher.

So I'm going to assume that it's between 👎 3 and 👍 45.

No problem, I was planning to scan them anyway 😉

Not gonna jinx myself 😛

my practice scores were all over the place. i feel like i can't even guess what i'd score. i think it will come down to the VR, which i had a good feeling coming out of, but is impossible to speculate about.

If I scored in the 40's I won't get into med school because I will have died of joy.

Ok, I'll go ahead and predict my score 🙂
Worst Case: PS-10,VR-8,BS-9
Best Case: PS-12,VR-10,BS-11
So, the final score should be between 27-33, and I would be thrilled with anything above 30!
