no,i doubt that.as u r just discussing them with ur friends.u are not attempting to re-produce the decks as a whole so i do not think that u r breaching any of their law at all.
so do not worry .
anyway it was really very helpful of u.
which subject r u doing these days.and from where.
keep in touchand everybody in this thread should remember thatwe all have to score above 90.

if any body is scared of anat then try to follow a book named anat rediculously made simple .this is a series which has neuro anat also.really good books.

I just returned from vacation so studies had come to a temporary halt for the past 12 days. I am resuming today with Lipids in Biochem. Will be greatly releived when I finish one reading biochem..... It has been a great source of morale downer for me for long.......

Hi Sharmila,
don't worry... periods of low output are bound to happen to everyone of us. What i try to to do is set some weekly goals..... if I do not finish it, I at least get most of it done which is still much more than what I would have done if I did not have a goal....

I lost almost 15 days plus will lose some more in the coming days as I have to undergo an appendectomy!!

Anyway, we have time so let's keep our eye on the big picture.....
try solving MCQs when u are not up for reading.......

Wish we could say there was an easy way to study biochem...!!!I am referring lippincott whereever necesaary but basically doing it from Kaplan notes.....
Regarding kaplan question bank I think there have been a few threads discussing the pros & cons of it earlier... I think u should find it one of those stickys........

Mostly people seem to think that it is not of much use... at least that is the impression I got after reading that thread........

i have finally decided to take the ndbe part1 again. 🙁 i dont know whether to take cbt or paperbased .i want to take paperbased i am comfortable with tht. do i have enough time to do well in boards. last time i had less timwe than this. i have to read this entire thread now. its so informative. guys u r really helpful.
can someone tell me whether u can get lippincot and little brown review book in bookstores like borders? i would like to see the book b4 i buy it. wht r u guys referring to for mandibular movement and occlusion.
i feel decks arent enough for daoh.i havent seen the new decks though.

My cousin who is at UPenn seems to think that a score in the 90's is what is need for a definite DDS acceptance. I am not so sure how I am going to get this though......the first time round was hard enough.
Anyway.....I am using Decks,Past papers which I am told needs to be covered thoroughly and USMLE Step 1 First Aid guide for now.
Anne 03..... I am also thinking what to go for ....the cbt or the written.
I think in the end I will go for the cbt.......results seem to reach home much quicker....i can't stand the waiting.

I like the USMLE Step 1 First Aid book because it is concise and comprehensive. It gives you factual information in point form and everything is clearly set out and the sections are well integrated.
To be honest.....the real reason is that I cannot be bothered going through too many books.........by the way Kaplan is not the book to use unless you have a lot of time to sift through the information. I used it 1st time round.
Well that's what I feel........don't take my word for it.

I absoloutly agree with u First aid is a amazing book,Its consise it has all the high yeild facts and its not as big as the kaplan book so in the end i am sure we wount have to do spend a lot of time on revising.

I love the patho and physio part of it but i didnt like the first aid of Anatomy cuz it was clinical orientated so i had to swich back to B.D but the histolgy part is very good too.

I used the kaplan first time too and it didnt work for me either.

warm welcome to you, its ok u can always do it, if u r sincere and dedicated i think u ll do ur best in august .

i think kaplan book is vast and BIG , but i think it is a real good reference book , if there r some topics which v find difficult ( esp biochem) if u hav kaplan u can try it , it can help you , coz the biochem part of it has helped me a lot.

Yup....Bond you are right there are bits of the book which need additional attention.....but for the moment I am trying to keep things as simple as possible and trying to prevent getting bogged down with too much information.
meetlife......yes it is very time consuming going through all the material but what I try to do is read the book in the morning and do the decks in the evening. The question papers i just review before I go to bed.
