Prereq during AMCAS

My best friend is also applying this summer. He did a co-op last semester so he is taking Physics II + Lab over the summer as well (July-August). I told him that I don't think this is a good idea because the course grades will not appear on his AMCAS app unless he submits it in August/September. Is this a strict no-no or do you think he can get away with it?

Most schools don't mind if you haven't completed the prereqs before AMCAS submission. You do, however, have to finish the prereqs before matriculation.
