I was going to take Biology, General Chem 1, and Calculus 1 at the same time to count as full time student. Is that too much to handle? (For someone like me who did not really understand Intro to Bio in my freshmen year because I didn't try hard enough but I know I will need to now.)
I don't want to waste anymore time because I spent 3 years taking general and business courses before deciding Pharmacy.

If you are gonna try hard enough this time, you can handle it. They are not hard classes (well. . . Calculus is 😛) but they require A LOT of work and memorization. So, if you have the time to study and try hard enough, I dont think its impossible 🙂

I'm not very confident in myself with taking two sciences and calculus at the same time but I figured that I need to at least try it. My brother advised that I take only one because even if I try to finish fast, I need to have a good GPA for pharmacy school.

Completely do-able. I did those exact courses during freshman year and my grade was pretty good. Depends on how fast you understand the material though. For me, Calculus was really easy so it was like I was taking only 2 classes at the time. So I'd give it a try and drop one course if you feel like you can't handle it.
But you really should get accustomed to taking them together since pharmacy school is essentially really heavy science courses all at once. So the earlier you get used to it, the better you'll be prepared for upper division courses and pharm school.

Thanks for the input. I know that in my next few semesters I will have schedules such as Chem and A&P at same time so I might as well start now.

You should be fine. I took calculus and gen chem 2 with bio. They all require different types of thinking, so it's easy to switch between classes. My opinion tho

All three of those classes are time-intensive so just take that into account. Be ready to have less free time. If you've never taken three time-intensive courses together make a commitment to yourself that you'll be ready to sacrifice other things to do well in those classes and you'll turn out fine. So think about it in how much allotted time you have to give rather than difficulty. For bio you need time to understand and memorize, chemistry time for memorization of concepts and doing problems, and calculus time for doing lots of problems.

If you can't handle it, you would fail out of pharmacy school easily.

well compare that to the load you would be taking in pharmacy school; I think that would be a good "test run" to measure your endurance

Cellular and molecular biology a required corse for pre reqs?
