printing out transcript, etc. for interview?

hey. do you guys bring anything besides yourself and a suit to the interview? e.g. printed copies of your transscript, AMCAS, whatever.

Some schools ask for things. If they want you to bring something, it will say in the email. The only thing I've had to bring to one was a photo of myself. Other than that, nothing.

Check the email. If there is nothing stated, you're fine.

Some schools don't want interviewers to know your stats, as they want you to be evaluated for other traits that make you a good physician. It would not be appropriate to bring the transcript. If they are meant to have the information, then they already have it.

Bring the PS for you to read over yourself. That and your Secondary essays are most likely to be sources of the questions you are asked. Anything you mentioned is fair game.

Bring a novel in case you have to wait your turn.

I bring hard copies of a brief update including coursework/grades and ecs completed since my amcas ap, which I have already emailed to the school ahead of time. At the end of the interview or during the question time I ask if they recieved my update or would like a hard copy. Everyone has said no they did not receive it and would love to have a hard copy. Assuming there is substance to the update, I think it leaves a positive impression and can only strengthen your case.

Oh and I also bring a leather portfolio so I can jot a few notes and hide the school folder while I'm walking around, a few thank you notes to leave for host and interviewers, power bar, gum, and moleskin in case my shoes start giving me blisters.

I brought a printed copy of AMCAS, a copy of my personal statement, small photos of myself, and a copy of my resume. The only thing I used was the small photos - and those schools gave me the heads up they wanted them. I was pretty sure I wouldn't need any of these things, but it made me feel better to have them, so I carried them in a portfolio.
