problem based learning PBL

I'm wondering how many unversity out there that teaches their students from the start by PBL technique. My university only implements some of it but not fully because lack of facility, but I heard that there are universities that use pbl method through out their learning experience, without or some lectures.
Plus could u plz tell me how it is set up/done and how the xm is done...pbl format or like normal mcq + essays plus....

Had PBLs in Physiology for some topics. But they left us to do the self-study, so it was more like holidays for us.
