Hey, I've noticed one program that stopped short of uploading my USMLE transcript....it's been a week so I wonder if this means I'm in the reject pile. Am I just being impatient, or should I investigate this further? I would feel shortchanged if I were rejected without my full appp being reviewed...

ERAS filter.

huh...I found the thread that talks about filters.

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=465227

So either the program has blocked the rest of my application based on something they find lacking in my app (OUCH!), or they are blocking all USMLE transcripts because they are trying to choose applicants independently of their scores? Wishful thinking perhaps.

I don't understand...not that I'm an amazing applicant, but nothing about my application seemed questionable or borderline. On the bright side at least, that's one less program to worry about 🙄

Very bad news. This is clear evidence that YOU NEED TO RELAX.

You are being an impatient, anal retentive d-bag. Just chill the hell out.

As has been mentioned multiple times by (the remarkably patient) aPD, filters happen AFTER the download. Programs can only not d/l apps by not logging into ERAS. That's it. If anybody logs into ERAS, every part of every app that has been sent to them gets d/l'd. Then can set up filters not to look at it (and I'd personally set up an oompa loompa filter if I were a PD) but they can't do anything about d/l'ing it.

Program X just hasn't logged back on since your USMLE scores became available. It's quite likely that, this early in the season, they'll log back into ERAS and get your scores to look at. Even Hopkins, UCSF, Stanford, Michigan and Duke haven't filled all of their slots by now. They'll still get a chance to see your Step scores and THEN reject you.

Wow, if you can't answer people's questions without being a douche bag, then please don't bother 🙄

You may not like the packaging, but he gave you all the info you wanted. It has been mentioned several time here that for some reason USMLE transcripts always seem to get downloaded later than the rest of the app.

What do you mean "investigate"? Are you going to call all the programs after only a week?

yeah, that's what they're doing..

I don't mean to pile on you regarding your OP, but you gotta realize this is a tried and tested process that doesn't include sad music and a 'game over' screen popping up on your computer 1.5 weeks into September.

 I think what gutonc really means is you should PM him/her all of your questions.
