i go to med school in korea, and nobody here speaks english fluently, so its difficult sometimes to figure out how some things are pronounced properly. (hard or soft c, vowels, etc.)

is there some reference book that explains the pronunciation, like a regular dictionary? something online would be even better 😀

Almost every word in medicine seems to have two equally acceptable pronounciations. For "coccyx," I have heard both "cock-icks" and "cox-six." <shrug> Whichever one you like better, in that case, I guess.

Smq you are right... Although Im indigenious to the new york area, many words have different pronunciation... Even something simple like "the" can be said like "thee"!! (Plus many foreigner struggle to say anyword beginning in th). Plus there are different dialects which make english hard..

And medical terminlogy-Im just going to say WOW!! 👍

Tell me about it. My anatomy prof used to pronounce "vitelline" as "VEE-tell-LIIIIIINE." That always drove me nuts.

Btw, can I ask which school you go to? SNU, Yonsei, or Korea, perchance? You gunner, you!
