Proudest moment

I know some schools ask this question in interviews...my dilema is that I don't think pride is a good thing and don't really have anything that I am proud of.

Do you think it would come off as arrogant to say something to that effect?

Don't get me wrong there have been times when I was proud but I don't like to highlight such emotions.

Arrogant, no. Crazy, yes. Even if this is what you feel, suck it up and give a normal answer for the adcom. You do not want to turn your interview, even for a moment, into an awkward discourse on your feelings about the evils of pride. Just say something simple, like I am proud of my grade in x class because I had to work hard to overcome a difficult subject.

Look at it this way, a lot of people lie about why they want to enter med to please the adcom beast. This situation should be no different. Sacrafice your pride in having no proud moments and feed the adcom beast what it desires.

Here is an idea:

You could say something like, "My proudest moment was when I graduated undergrad--not because of being proud of myself, but in seeing the pride that was reflected from my parents faces."

That may make it seem as if you are less proud, yet hilighting a moment of your life.
