1st post on fourth page
I think we're all waiting for Monday.
I think at the very least he'll let someone know who will come and let everyone know. I think it's sort of the decent thing to do so that this doesn't end up just as a legend attached to a possible myth but a very realistic learning experience for the community.Exactly. You think he will let us know?

Yeah at the very least, people will hopefully learn to watch what they post.
Aw man, the only person who replied to what I thought was a clever post is someone who by job description has to take it seriously. Troll fail 🙁
Even if this does turn out to be a hoax, it is a very real learning experience for me. I don't think I've said anything that could potentially get an acceptence rescinded, but I have been out of line at times and definitely rude and abrasive and that kind of stuff is unnecessary.

👍
Why is it so easy to be a douche on the interwebs? I think most of us are way more abrasive on here than we'd ever be in person.

Posting this may make me look stupid on Monday if I'm not right, but I went back and carefully read the thread about the PM. I really think it was Mr. Trololol himself. The emailer, not the victim/perpetrator in question. I just can't believe it is really the school that sent that email. It was the day before Thanksgiving, firstly. That may be a minor issue, but that they sent an email saying not to contact them about it, and didn't offer him a call, a physical letter, a contact number, a committee discussion, nothing... it's just so hard to accept.
The scary thing is that I think several people emailed this school on his behalf. So if this is an epic prank (anyone can send an official email from anybody else), and I hope it is a prank, then this school just got tons of emails and horrible PR from the OP, in which case the school had no problem with him before, but now they really will. So if it wasn't a prank, the OP is screwed. If it was, now he's screwed.

Looking forward to a new medpr

i thinks its real simply for the fact that no one would stupid enough to troll someone like that. you would probably go to jail or be fined/sued big time and its easy to track where it came from
fyi - new posters now have to identify themselves to sdn through their email address :
"To join SDN, you must use a .edu, .mil or .gov email address."
Not related to this event at all. As always, every staff member follows a nondisclosure agreement and emails will not be shared.fyi - new posters now have to identify themselves to sdn through their email address :

Really? My school uses gmail as the host but all the addresses end with our school name.eduHmmm....,This could potentially affect a lot of people. 1 school I went to did not give students their own email address, another had their students use gmail not .edu. The last school took away you email after 1 year of graduating.
I'm still confused on the details. Did the school just investigate him, decide they didn't like what they saw, and rescind? Or did this person who felt insulted actually contact the school and report him? If the latter, it's pretty disturbing. 😱

Looking forward to a new MedPR
Yeah its funny how soon people turn on their friends. MedPR and "he whose name shall not be spoken", teamed up against me in an AA debate when I first joined this site. They were like bffs, now MedPR, pretty much disowns the guy.![]()

as i said in the original thread, this whole thing smelled like a hoax.
the washington ip address, the timing, the no-contact warning, etc.
Basically yes. Voldemort got linked to his SDN account by Hogwarts and they rescinded his acceptance for using the cruciatus curse.
I found out about it like last night from another user via text. Despite my disappointment in He Who Shall Not Be Named's conduct on SDN lately, I'm genuinely sad that this happened to him. I think most of us are here because we need help or want to help or just want to bond with others through stressful times. Though I can completely understand this consequence, it's horrible that SDN can lead to something like this, as well.
This post was depressing... so look at my/NekoBeats' tumblr if you want to laugh instead 😉
That tumblr was hilarious. There should be one about how it never ends. You are always a dancing monkey for someone. (Esp for all the nurse administrators out there)
Lol MedPR showed a lot of consistency in his abrasive character and a lot of it was amusing to read to begin with. The other guy, well, he turned out to be very different than what we thought he was, and not in a good way.
This is a fake Internet world. Who cares what anyone says on here?
Because there is the belief that without the restrictions of traditional social mores of a polite society (increasingly less common), that the way people act on an anonymous internet forum reflects who they are deep down inside without those restrictions.
Whether you believe it or not, it is very atypical to find someone who is truly a kind and gentle introvert IRL acting like a complete ass on a BB.
