I have a manuscript currently under review. I anticipate that it will be accepted very close to the opening of AMCAS submission (June 1st). If the paper has not been accepted by June 1st, would it be worth it to hold my application until it is accepted if it would only delay submission a week or two? I am assuming it would be worth it, as my application would still be early, just not submitted on the first day, and I would get to list my paper as in press on my app/in essays.

Thanks!

You won't miss any interview spots by waiting a few weeks to submit.

That being said, submitting the application and referring to the manuscript as "in review", then showing up to the interviews with the actual accepted paper (or proof), is fine too.
