Can someone please verify if the citation below is formatted correctly

You're not supposed to include the first name. If you had authors with the names John Smith, John Johnson...you would cite like Smith, J; Johnson, J; ...etc

Also, the title goes above the names of the authors.

...unless this is like MLA formatting, then I guess it is fine, but I think the name thing I mentioned still applies.
 
To the OP, there are many different conventions for scientific papers. I usually follow Nature. As long as you see the format in use in your favorite journal, its ok!
 
Yeah... there isn't much as far as an accepted convention (like APA for psychology), but the above advice to follow another journal is the way to go.
