purpose of adding parent info on fafsa?

i have been filing independently the past 2 years. is there any reason to add my parent's info now, for OD school?

Parent info can qualify you for certain types of scholarships/loans. I know at NECO, parent info isn't needed, but if you put it in, they can consider your parents' financial standing and find loans and financial aid to help you. I don't think you're at a disadvantage without parent info but if your parents' are low income, it can help.
