Hi

I'm going to an interview soon and I was wondering if the girls brought along purses or folders to the interview. Maybe just a black folder with a pen and a couple pieces of paper for potential essays? Any input is great! 😀

I brought my purse, a folder and a pen. I wrote down answers to my questions during an interview. There's no way I could remember everything they said. When you're deciding which school to attend, you might want to refer back to your notes. Also, some schools do require an essay, and it would look bad to come unprepared.

I brought a purse with a pen. I also brought a few pieces of paper, but didn't need them. Just make sure its small and not gaudy.

I didn't take anything. They supplied the paper and pen for me to write my essay on.

At PBA, a lot of the girls had purses and the guys didn't carry anything around.

Heck, I had a backpack AND a suitcase on top of all that!!! (I came straight from the hotel and Janell was gracious enough to let me store everything in the office while I interviewed)

I went into the interview with only one of those leather-folder portfolios with my resume and a pad of paper + pen to write down questions and info. 🙂

You want to be careful about carrying too much into an interview so as to avoid looking clumsy when shaking hands. Remember to carry whatever it is in your left hand so you dont have to shuffle things around to shake hands. I know it sounds trivial but first impressions are everything in an interview. I think I just brought a purse to my interview and they supplied the pencil and paper for the essay.
