If anyone can explain this to me, I would appreciate it...

What is the new internal pressure off a given mass of nitrogen gas in a 400-ml vessel at 22(Celsius) and 1.2 atm, when heated to 60 (celsius) and compressed to 300 - ml?

I thought the answer would be

(1)(.400)(333)/(1.2)(.300)(295)

and the answer is stated as

(1.2)(.400)(333)/(1)(.300)(295)

I keep setting it up and can't get the the right answer 🙁

You have the correct formula......but used it incorrectly. Read it carefully...They are asking for P2.....the initial pressure was 1.2 atm NOT 1atm . Try it again.....and let me know.
