QR..so worried :( On the DAT, do they usually give us units of conversions..

I found some stuff in Barron's & ************** that should be useful for ya
A. The Common British System
You should know the following equivalences & abbreviations:
1 yard (yd) = 3 feet (ft.) = 36 inches (in)
1 foot = 12 inches
1 mile (mi) = 5,280 feet = 1,760 yards
1 ton (T.) = 2,000 pounds
1 gallon (gal.) = 4 quarts (qt.) = 8 pints (pt.)
1 quart = 2 pints
1 pint = 16 fluid ounces
B. The Metric system (Not too sure about this one, but it doesn't hurt to know it)
pico - pico- (p) = 10-12
nano- 👎 = 10-9
micro = 10-6
milli (m) = 10-3
centi (c) = 10-2
deci (d) = 10-1
kilo (k) = 10^3
mega (M) = 10^6
I think the Common British system should be more useful, & I think this is pretty much the bulk of what we need to know, the rest will probably be given to us but if I find out anymore I'll keep you guys updated

Don't worry Tissy, just attack the easy questions & save the word problems for the end, I'm sure you'll do fine. I did Topscore Qr 3 & luckily got a 17 on Topscore, missed an 18 by 3 questions, so you can do it 🙂

Thank you...you know how I've been so worried about the QR section..it's my weakest..I've pulled in 15-16 on all my practice test...LOL..wish me luck on wed...i'll try to make you proud..LOL

I could imagine what you're feeling, because I'm feeling the same thing, this is the one section that has the potential to keep me from getting a 26+ AA, lol we all are in your corner rooting for you now that its your turn to bat, we're all soldiers in the same struggle I'm pretty sure you'll make myself & the rest of the family proud. Kick Qr in the balls for me, & all I ask is you give a complete play-by-play in painful detail of the Qr section afterwards, LOL

I'm not sure about the other schools, but for NYU, the adcoms told me their cutoff is 16 in any subject, so if God Forbid you get a 16, just make sure everything else is good, & you'll be straight!

tissy you are going to kick some azz. I know it. You are putting in the time and that will definately pay off. Even if you end up getting a 16 for some reason (i fyou gte too nervous) I know you will do great on the other sections so it wont even matter.
I think the key is to do the easy ones first. And dont skip word problems ssuming they are hard. I would skip the ones that require you to set up the equations (if ur having trouble with them) and then come back if you have time. You should gte more than half right this way. Good luck girl.
Im taking it on monday and Im freaking out about the pat because my highest score was 18 on topscore, and 16 on DAT achiever!
I actually just took my last DAT achiever and got a 14 in bio lol. So thats what im doing all day today.

Are you sure, I don't know, This is what several people told me, , & that & the PAT was the reason I didn't get in, it was a significant factor . What about PAT, what is did they say about that? My PAT was a , but have been in the 15-16 range on Achiever, so I don't know about that 14, but I'll ask them again. That's another big reason I'm stressing over the Qr, & according to topscore I'm around 17-18, a minimum of 16 if I don't work fast enough. I'm hoping to push a 19-20 on this thing. Who told you 14, they said 14 is really low & they also mentioned they're looking at the PAT & Qr, their standards are changing, they don't sound as lenient as they were 🙁
