What's the difference between discrimination testing from threshold of conscious perception, and the difference threshold (jnd)?

I believe that the threshold of conscious perception refers to the minimal level of which a stimulus can be consciously perceived. On the other hand, the difference threshold is more concerned about when you can notice a difference between stimuli half of the time. I think that the threshold of conscious perception refers to the feeling of actually noticing a stimulus at all. The difference threshold assumes that you're already perceiving a stimulus, gradually changing the stimulus, and eventually detecting a difference.
