Hi guys and gals,

I'm little frustrated and exhausted from a situation, and I hope someone can shine a light on some details. My apologies if I come out whiny, but please bare with me and for those with knowledge can chime in. It'll be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently on 3.5yr HPSP in the Army and I was commissioned in Nov 09.

I just started the summer semester and the financial office at my school has been notifying me of delinquency of my spring semester tuition.

Since Jan, I've been contacting my recruiter and the main recruiter at the school to see what's going on, and only thing I'm getting is that there was a call outs on my file, or errors in my file.

In Jan, my recruiter has told me that I needed to resign some of the forms that I had to signed when I got commissioned, but it seems as though the recruiter has "fixed" it and just tells me that "he'll look into it."

I know the process takes some time, but I don't think it should take 6 month to get it done. I feel like there's something wrong, and I'm literally calling or emailing the recruiter every few days w/o any clear answers as to what is really going on.

Having financial office calling me and emailing me is one thing, but I still haven't been paid a single cent. Accepting HPSP doesn't allow me to take out any loan, so I pretty much had no income, except that I was fortunate enough to have my parents helping me little bit financially, but I think I just about had enough.

Does anyone know, and I hope someone does, what is going on w/ submitting paper work/files?

Is there a way or people to contact to see what is going on besides my recruiter?

Thanks in advance,

PM Me, I might be able to help.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a half year on the scholarships thought they were only 3 or 4 year scholarships.

3.5 year scholarships are really just 4 year scholarships. The only difference is that you commission during the first semester so you would have had to front the tuition and fees for that semester, but then they pay it back to you within a few weeks of commissioning. The bad thing is that you miss out on all the stipend payments from the beginning of the semester because they don't back pay those. You still get the bonus as well.
