Of course you did, because that's what they wrote in the description! No way to avoid that if you're going to accept what they have in their document as accurate! 😎 I just knew to look at the Ns because I knew ballpark 2,000 was too high for one year, and I also see that AAMC tends to report in 2 or 3 year tranches, I think to mask one year variations in data.

I just know that 80-something thousand people take the test every year, and 522 is 99%ile, so there should be around 800 people with 522+ each year. 2,000 is a good rough reading over 2 cycles, especially because people apply each year who have taken the exam over multiple cycles.
