I see a lot of posts about submitting the application to AMCAS on June 1 for verification and then sending the application to schools later when their MCAT scores come in. I have a question about that and re-applicant status.

Let's say I finish everything except for the MCAT and send in my app on June 1 for verification. Then I receive my MCAT scores at the end of the month. They're bad, so I decide not to apply this cycle. Would I count as a re-applicant the next cycle?

Only to the one school you specified in order to get the application verified.

Just apply to ONE throwaway school where you would NOT want to go. If you don’t like your score, only that school will have seen it. If you do like your score, then you can add as many schools as you’d like.

Make sure there are no mistakes after submitting since you cannot change anything once you’ve sent it to that school. When you add other schools, you’d be sending the exact same application you submitted initially.
