Hey all,
I was wondering if any current Army Transitional Interns knew any fellow trans. interns who applied to PM&R this past year and were turned down, and if so if they are still going to re-apply?
Without giving away everything cuz it's not something I want my department to know, I'm a resident who's considering switching specialties, and PM&R is one I'm considering. I realize it was highly competitive last year and it's not likely to happen for me, but I was hoping to get a gague for how many interns who were turned down are going to re-apply (vs. switching specialties or just doing GMO). Just wanna know how competitive it will be for those last one or two "non pre-select" spots.
Just curious, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm not planning to apply to PM&R, but given it's recent competitiveness, you're probably going to have to compete with guys who have done gmo tours. So it'll be very tough to get a non-preselect slot right out of internship.
