Question for JWK about AA profession and school

Hello JWK, my name is Eric Lipscomb. I am looking at going to school to become an AA. I am 30, have a degree in Social Science and have heard so many people love this field. I have always wanted to do something in healthcare and was considering this, pharmacy, or PA school.

Just wanted to see what you think about being an AA. Do you enjoy what you do, what is the best way to get started. I know there are several pre reqs i would have to take and things like that. Can i shadow an AA or an Anasteiosologist and how hard is it to get accepted into a program. I was looking at the Progam at South University in Savannah.
