Hey guys!
Well I'm another new student in the forum. Hope to get more involve with the forum, along with receiving advice 🙂

So i have a few schools in mind and a some has supplemental app along with materials, such as transcript, courses, observation forms, etc; for the PT programs. I forgot where i read this from, but schools want it mailed directly from the institute. I have a friend who is 4.0 student accepted to western, saying i should pick up the transcript and put all forms/apps in another envelope to send it all together so it would be more organized. So the question is, should I follow my friends way, or have the institute mail it directly to each school and ill just send all the other materials later? I feel like my friends way would have less errors if things get send all together compare to separately. How did you guys do it for those who finish? any advice 😀. Thanks

P.S.

quite a bit in hopes of at least one :xf:

What do you guys think as overall? Really wish i did better my first 2 years 🙁, but i really pushed it at the end with an overall GPA of 3.5 for my rest of my undergrade years. Pretty sure my statement and letters would be decent. Have good experience from the volunteering, get along with PTs and patients. I plan to take a few science courses over, but really hope to get in with what I have before i start taking classes, probably take new GRE :scared:,and redo ptcas for next cycle (-__-). I'll like to hear from you guys. Ill appreciate your thoughts. thanks!!!

Unless the schools you're applying to say otherwise, you MUST have your undergrad institute send transcripts directly. Transcripts that are given to a student are typically stamped "Issued to Student" and most grad programs do not consider those to be "official" transcripts.

I would recommend taking the GRE again to raise your verbal score. Keep in mind that the new version of the GRE has a different scoring system, with scores from 130-180 for both sections. Analytical writing is still scored the same.

Ohhh alrighty!! I guess that's all i have to hear haha. Thanks for your comment. 😀

Just so you have more than one response, I'm in agreement. They must be sent directly from your institution to PTCAS or to whatever school you are applying to that requires them (if they aren't on PTCAS).
