Question. Would it be appropriate or recommended to update the school on new developments taking place in some activities immediately post interview(simply because nothing alike was mentioned when interviewed)? thanks

I would only update schools if your update contains something new and amazing. If you just got published in a major journal, went on a medical mission trip, won the top leadership award at your undergrad, etc. then I would send an update.
