Hey y'all,

I just tried to find out if there is a deadline or not for being able to push back your MCAT date to a further one and came up with a blank.

I checked out the AAMC website and they say you need to dish out 55$ (so that they can make more money off us than they already are now... i mean, how hard is it to freaking push a couple buttons and change someone's test date?). But I haven't been able to find out if there is a deadline or not.

My MCAT is on July 17th (in Canada eh?) and I'm not 100% sure if I will be ready by then so I'm considering pushing it back rather than writing it unprepared.

Thanks and enjoy the blazing 30 degrees outside in the sun!

SuperSaiyan3... still powering up.:luck:

from the AAMC website:

Test Center or Date Changes

Provided that space is available and you make the change prior to the posted regular registration deadline associated with your initial test date, you may change your test date and/or test center. Additional fees will apply. If you make a change in both test date and center simultaneously, a single charge of just $55 will be levied; however, if you make separate changes, you will be charged individually for each, resulting in total charge of $110.
You will be charged for a change regardless of how quickly it is requested after your initial registration. We regret that we cannot make exceptions to this rule.

soo, you can change your date before July 3rd. the calendar is http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/reserving/deadlineandscorerelease.htm

and good luck! :luck:

Thanks Eeyore, you are a great person. I read that also, but I had no idea what "regular registration" was and when it would be.
Thanks for providing me with that link.

Just to make sure, "registration" is just when you sign up for the test online and pay for your fees, right?

Because I heard on the July 17th test thread that people were saying that registration had "just opened up." But I had signed up for the test since... May. But then again, I live in Canada, so it might work differently...

Thanks again! 🙂

yup! registration is when you sign up and pay.

i think the "opening up" just means that people are signing up for retakes and were hoping to get a seat on that day... no worries. it's not a us/canada thing. 🙂

i think you're all set!
