I got a B+ in Biochemistry that i took over the summer....is tat good or bad?????? our grading is A, B+, B, C+, C, D, F....i got the highest grade on the final(98) but i messed up on the second exam cuz of the MCATS🙁 . u guys think the med school i got into will look down on it??

did they put any contingencies on your acceptance. you would think B- and < would cause concern

well they said that i need to keep a 3.4 avg and above....but for the summer...my avg will be a 3.79.......i just thought that med schools look at orgo and biochem the most....i got A's in both orgos......stupid MCAT messed me up in biochem 😡 !!! i just dont want em gettin upset....i already sent my deposit to hold me seat...

if you're near graduation and in cruise mode, i wouldn't sweat it. maybe you can ask the teacher for extra credit to boost you to an A-

My friend had a D in Biochem following her acceptance to UCSD SOM and they still let her in. Go party and relax...

B+ is pretty good, in your case it is a 3.5 which is the average matriculating GPA. Since you sound like you rarely get B's it sounds like you are making an issue out of a nonissue.

no no no no...my two semester were crap...3.1 my first semester ( I got a C+!!!) and like one A in a one credit class....then i got like a 3.3 my second semester..with A's and B's...THEN..my third semester...i got only one B+....then my 4th semester..i got all A's....that brought my GPA up to a 3.649...now after summer my gpa will be a 3.661...STUPID B+!!!!!!!

dude, stop worrying. You're in medical school, they're not throwing you out over a B+ in biochem..lol

Just relax, because once you start med school then you'll have what to complain about in terms of work and grades

so your gpa actually went up after your summer classes....that's a good thing, not something you should worry about!
