These 'super techs' are a god send in helping with interventional procedures. IE Picc line placements, Dobhoff tubes under fluoro. They do simple procedures under the supervision of an interventionalist. They are a helpful addition to the radiology team in these times of relatively decreased number of interventionalists being trained/doing fellowships.

Hi, I was wondering would it be possible for someone that is in a wheelchair to become a Radiologist Assistant? Thanks.

Could I please have some advice on this?

I don't think a lot of residents have much experience working with radiology assistants because we often do the work that RA would do. You should ask around on www.auntminnie.com . I would think it would be difficult to impossible to do fluoroscopic procedures with a wheelchair, but I am not sure of all of the responsibilities of these assistants so take that with a grain of salt.
