Not sure about reference letters (had all of mine before submitting primary).

I asked this same question like ten times, and from what I gather, you WILL receive secondaries WITHOUT LOR's. You send in LOR's with your secondaries, not with your primaries.

LOR is required along with primary? I thought most schools want you to send them when you submit your secondaries.

Forgot about schools with automatic secondaries. You need them to be marked complete/for an interview.

I received automatic and selective secondaries before my LOR were even complete, so it is possible, your application just won't be marked as complete until the LOR are in.
I'm not sure about MCAT; you probably will get automatic secondaries without a score, but I don't see how you could ever get selective secondaries without a score

Agree with above. I feel like many secondaries are basically "Put a sheet of notebook paper with your name and phone number on it, and a copy/pasted essay (different from the first one please), and 4 $20 bills in this envelope and mail it back to us."

Yet another question: If you already have a MCAT score but is unhappy with it, but your new result doesn't come out until mid-july, will schools that screen primaries REJECT you based on your current score, or will they put you application on hold until the new score is out. How can I let them know that I have registered for a new MCAT.

Suppose you submit primary on the first day the Application opens, when will the secondaries arrive approximately?

They will know you have signed up for another MCAT because it will appear on your AMCAS application. You'll have to resubmit your AMCAS, but that's for no additional fee or anything. They will see the change automatically. You could also email them, if you felt so compelled, but this is not necessary. So, to answer your first question (sorry out of order), if you do retake your MCAT, schools with screened secondaries will wait until your new score comes in until they review your application.
