I wanted to ask if you all could quickly take a look at my stats and give your opinion on how I stand

I have been out of school since Dec 2001 working full time as an engineer and ophthalmic technician ( few months as an engineer, then switch to technican)

Degree: Biomedical Engineering, University of Florida

GPA: 3.2 overall; 3.1-3.2 Science
Note: Had to work full time to pay for school - killed my study time and grades!!!

MCAT 27 (9,9,9)

Tons of volunteer work throughout college
Eng. Honor student 2/4 yrs of school with some other honors/awards
Have great LORs from faculty and DO (at least in my humble opinion)

I think my biggest problem is my GPA, but do you think the adcoms will take my work responsibility into consideration?

Any ideas of improving myself? ie post bac classes?

THANK YOU SO MUCH for you input.

corona, 😎
Don't sweat it its alright man. Those numbers look good to me. I can tell you that is my exact GPA when I got into LECOM's post bacc but I didn't have you MCAT (mine 23).
Peace,
Non-Trad DO MSIII
P.S. Beat the mean on step I of COMLEX so Personally I'm not sure MCAT does exactly what AAMC says it does. Not trying to be combative, just my opinion. 🙂

I had a cousin get accepted into CCOM with Mcat 23 and Non sci 3.2 ans sci 2.9.

Jeez man, you're more than qualified.

However, the process of getting in is a bit of a crapshoot anyway, so unfortunately you shouldn't feel too comfortable until you start getting some acceptances... :luck:
