Okay so Im writing this because I really want to release some tension about this decision. I've been working for CVS Pharmacy as a trainee for only 2 months now. I took the job under the pretenses that I was only going to working ~20 hours. I am working 30 f@%$ing hours a week. I am beyond frustrated. I am taking P.chem, O.chem (retake) Calc III and some silly filler class. I was doing amazing until I started working 30 hours weekly. I asked my boss for hour reduction and she told me flat out no. I cant handle my course work with this job. Ironically I work similar hours to the other Techs that do not go to school at all. I get home and I am too tired to even open a textbook. I asked my boss for hour reduction during my finals week and I checked today. There I am on finals week with 30 hours to my name. I've had to miss class just to attend CVS pharmacy tech trainee courses. I am taking my MCAT soon and I have had barely any time to study. Im just very nervous about tell my boss that I no longer wish to work for the company after such a short amount of time.

Quit. Doesn't seem worth the potential blow to your grades.

You need to quit.
30 hours is way too much with your class load. You'll waste a lot more money and time later doing a post-bacc or retaking these classes.

Sorry I thought you were quitting the cardiovascular system

You need to quit. No employment is important enough to your application where it would be worth sacrificing your grades and MCAT. The best thing any pre-med can do is hospital volunteering. It's just a few hours once a week, but you can kill many birds with one stone. You get clinical experience and check the box for volunteering. You can also spend a majority of the volunteer shift studying or can shadow a doctor and double dip those hours! Yeah, it's pretty undervalued on SDN!

As for CVS, quit!!!! Sure it will look "bad." But there's any easy solution. Leave it off your resume and never speak of it again. If it's not on your resume, it never happened. Problem solved!
