I also took some pictures of biofilms, one of which looks just like a dog. I don't have it on this computer though and couldn't find it online.

It's a scanning electron micrograph of a culture of airway epithelia from some knockout mice I was studying. The cilia are pseudo-colored (by a computer - just makes it look cool - the original data was black and white).

I 😍 cilia.

Well, I can hang around and procrastinate no longer. Must write my last literary analysis paper. :clap:

I fully expect this thread to be at 500 posts by the time I take my first break. I will be very disappointed in you all if it isn't.

Yeah, that's abnormal. That's why I was so excited about these mice. Normal cilia don't have those bulges and spikes. (I haven't published it yet, so shhhh... 😉 )

Everybody used to laugh at me because my workspace was plastered with pictures of my niece and pictures of my cilia side by side. :laugh:

doesn't influenza kill cilia? thats why people can get superinfections of bacteria and get pneumonia as a complication to influenza, the cilia are knocked out.

you must hate influenza. :laugh:

*****normally i would never post something that nerdy but after pictures of cilia... come on :laugh: *******
