beary--i don't even know what to say. that's just a *little* psycho. what do you hold the notecards with one hand and shave your legs with the other? sounds dangerous.

Supposedly fasten it to the wall somehow??!!

I agree - seems like it would just extend the shower. Heck, I cut my legs all up when I am giving it my full attention! 🙄

And I repeat the idiots in the US seem to conglomorate on the everyone forums and then sit there and whine. 😎 Pretty pathetic. I post then let them argue about what I posted :meanie: Even though what they state is partially true but they twist their words around to make it suit their own goal. I can see most of them being part of the state legislature soon. 🙄

Why is politics such a charged topic? Its like religion in my opinion only worse. Because everyone has to blame someone or they'll play the card "well I didn't vote for them". When will people see that honestly, we don't live in a democratic republic and that the is reason b/c we have a 30% voter turnout rate?? 😕

Man - as I was putting on my make-up this morning it struck me. My skin is so clear now. I had horrible acne most of my life then I go to a dermatologist and it's all gone in less than 6 months. I have a bit more respect for dermatologists now.

Just a bit though. Everyone knows dermatologist is greek for "fake doctor"

Really? Pathologists are the ones who aren't real doctors.

word, same here. i use my bat wings to stay away from there 🙂

I realized laying in bed last night that if I had some bat wings I could probably jump off from my porch and crash in through that shrimpy guy's window that stole my house.

But my house is so much better than his house anyway. 😎

Oxford's cool. 3 of my good friends from HS went there.

Well folks, I'm off to Cincy! I'm sure I will still be posting, but maybe not as much for the next few days. I will wave at all the Amish people I see on the interstate :meanie: and will wave at Brett (who I thought I saw somewhere was from Toledo? I looked back over the last few pages of this thread and didn't see it, so apologies if I'm totally confused).

So the husband, kids, and I went out to dinner at Red Robin tonight - as I was leaving we passed a couple in a booth and I saw that the girl had a USLME Step 1 review book next to her.

It made me think of Arsenic!! And I had to resist the urge to stop and strike up a conversation with her about how she likes the med school. There's only one in town so I know she has to go to the one I'm hoping to get into! 🙂

There's a Red Robin about 20 minutes from us. We ate there once and didn't get waited on for about 20 minutes. They gave us a free appetizer.

I like their food though.

Nah I don't think that is true. But I do have a problem with the fact that when you go to a dermatologist, you never see the doctor. Instead its the ARNP or PA who sees you. Makes you wonder what the dematologist actually does.

yes, that is very true. i used to see the *actual* dermatologist when i went to mine in pittsburgh, but here in boston, i can only get set up with the PA.

and she looked at me and said, "oh, i see you have lots of freckles on your face"

i said "yeah" with a little smile..

she said "freckles AREN'T cute. they're signs of sun damage. don't ever go outside again without SPF 45 and a hat."

uh, thanks. i think i'll just build my little bubble now....

Oh so you did end up getting a different house then the one you originally bought????? Did you ever post pictures because I didn't see them and if they were there, I'm unable to keep up with the pace of this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got to see the actual dermatologist when I needed a mole removed from my foot a couple years ago.

It might be a nice cooshy job, but *definitely* not for me.

it seems like as a dermatologist, you would see more patients worried about non-essential asthetics than about actual medical problems. at my dermatologist's office, every room has a microdermabrasion machine in it. i'm not sure since i've never shadowed a dermatologist, so someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I have no desire to shadow a dermatologist. 😉

Thanks, I do too. Now it's looking like I won't be able to get it though, because it probably won't fit into the bedroom I'm going to have. 🙁 Sigh. Well, maybe it will help out someone else. I'll still have an extra bed if any of you want to come visit though. 😀

The one I went to had that machine in every room. I had her check a couple spots on the body then had then had the microdermabrasion. No biggie. Don't think I chould shadow her, cause I would get bored. She's fun to go shopping with though.

Haha, you'd need more than one extra bed if I came to visit with my two little ones. 😉 Sorry you can' fit the bed in your room. 🙁

Did you look at the IKEA beds? I know they have some loft beds that are double size, and you can stick a twin underneath. They're not too bad in price, either. Maybe they might fit???
