woohoo! I hope everything gets approved and you don't have to make any major changes!

I'm definitely not submitting until I get those scores, but here's to hoping they come out like I want them to! 😀

I saw a scary report on ABC recently about how like 85% or so carseats are not fixtured properly, bc of the complicated instructions and what not...they said the best way to make sure was to go to one of the free checks. you'd think such an important thing used by so many people would have a better safeguard.

Definitely - the biggest mistake I see people make with carseats is not having the chest clip high enough - it's called a chest clip for a reason.

I spent 4 hours waiting at one of those free carseat checks one day when my first daughter was little. They told me that my daughter's was the first seat they had seen all day that was installed properly - scary!! I felt like a celebrity - they called all the checkers over to show them the seat that a mom had installed properly all by herself. LOL

LOL, I'm just paranoid when it comes to car seat safety. 😉 And I'm anal about reading directions and making sure I get things done right. Hopefully that will make me a careful doctor!

With Fords though you have to weigh this:
Seatbelt reminder or engine that lasts longer than 5 years?

America needs to catch up with the Japanese in the car market immediately or Detroit will be a ghost town.

my dad has a ford taurus that is 10 years old and still vvorking fine. i had an eclipse... and i couldn't say the same for that.

As common as they are...Hondas are still the best. Love 'em. I drive a Nissan, but hubby drives a Honda. The BMW sits in the garage.

someone explain to me vvhy the HELL Rothelisberger vvasn't vvearing a helmet?

😡 🙁
vvell... (liking the accent too 😉

Actually, in all seriousness, pennsylvania repealed the motorcycle helmet law, so now it is legal to ride in PA without ANY helmet AT ALL. And Mr. Roethlisberger says that he prefers to ride without a helmet. I wonder if he prefers to keep his head attached to his body? It's a terrible way to learn a lesson, but I hope that he has learned it. Reports are that he "suffered a broken jaw, broke his left sinus cavity, suffered a 9-inch laceration to the back of his head, lost many teeth and has severe injuries to his knees from hitting the pavement."

That's why I drive a DODGE!!!!

Seriously, though, my husband drives a '96 Avenger with 100K miles and still fine.

I wear my seatbelt, too, and having more accidents than I can count on two hands under my belt, I am a staunch supporter of them.

However, I am a living oxymoron because I don't always wear my helmet when on my motorcycle. Long trips, yes, around the block, no. I need to be better about that.

nikki, are you in first?

ps: tell me how to find out!

Nikki is first, I'm second now! Yay! 😉 But only because A-man hasn't been around.

On the topic page, click on the number of posts in the thread and it will tell you who has posted how many times. 😉

Ok, those of you who are members of the journal club: GradTX wants to wait to present, and we didn't really get a chance to discuss megboo's article anyway because of SDN constantly being on the fritz this past week. So I think we should go ahead and continue on with megboo's article for this week, and then beary can go next week as planned. Beary, do you have an article picked out yet?
