Beary: Shhhh - you'll give away my evil plan for sneaking drugs.

But seriously, they get donations in and they got a ton of doryx (which they'll never use - 75 mg dose) so I bought them a bunch of 100 mg tabs of Doxycycline and traded them. That way they have them to treat Gonorrhea or something.

VD!!!!

what you just trade drugs? lol

LOL, not percocet - I already tried that one today. 😉

And it wasn't propranolol either. I only know that because it wasn't the generic name. I looked it up in my breastfeeding book to make sure it was safe. I think the generic started with an E ... maybe. 😕
so not oxycodon because you probably would have recognized that name... AND it doesn't begin with a P.

Hmmm why DID you have percocet sweetheart? Are you holding out on us?

Left over from kidney stones last summer. I got lots of GREAT narcotics that night. 😉

My poor little daughter who was only a fetus then doesn't seem any worse for the wear fortunately.

That is supposed to be the worst pain ever. I am very sorry that happened to you.

Percocet didn't work??!! Yikes. You better keep it. 😉

I almost never ever go to the doctor but I actually made an appointment with an opthalmologist because I was seeing these yellow waves all the time. He said they were "optical migraines." The same mechanism as other migraines, but just limited to the visual cortex.

I have only had a few full blown migraines, and they were during the placebo phase when I was on OCPs. (Sorry if that's TMI. ) I stopped taking OCPs and haven't had hardly any since.

Yeah, I was crying when I realized even the percocet wasn't working, because that works 95% of the time. 🙁

Funny about the OCPs. I've heard of lots of people getting headaches related to hormones. In fact, that's usually what people ask me - are my headaches related to my time of the month. 😉 I haven't had a period since November 2004 and am essentially in menopause right now  so my headaches definitely aren't cycle related.

So I got a funny story about stocking meds:
I was teaching this girl about the drug supply room at the clinic. Teaching her the broad categories and where everything went. As we're sorting through stuff she finds some Lipitor and holds it up. She puts on a sly face and says, "Want to take this and have a fun night with your boyfriend?" Very confused, I say "What? Lowering our cholesterol? That's kinky and not really my thing." She says, "Wait isn't this like Viagra?"

It took me a minute and then I went, "Are you thinking of Levitra!?!?"

She was so embarassed. Good thing I sorted that out for her before she got to practicing or she'd have some very irritated male patients.

when are you taking step 3 beary?

I don't know. I haven't signed up yet.

I want to get it over with this year for sure. The sooner the better, but I want to get settled into path first. I also want to get started on a research project in my "spare time," but am not even going to touch that until I get Step 3 out of the way.

We are. :meanie:

My mom is practically going ninja because my ID badge just says "beary, MD". It's really not a big deal.
lmao. My mom is funny about that stuff too. She was so excited because I got a letter sent to her house that was addressed to Dr. Quimica. 😀

My dad's friend asked him how he felt about having a daughter who was smarter than he is, and my dad got kind of emotional. He said, "It feels great." And he had tears in his eyes. 😳

No, we don't get any time off. I think people try to schedule it during a lighter rotation so they have time to study. Later on in residency we have elective time, but I think that will be too late.

It's very sweet. But don't let my old man's antics fool you....he skipped two grades in school, and he would have skipped a third, except my grandmother wouldn't let him b/c he was already so much younger than the other kids. 😛

🙄 Dude, you're far enough along in med school to know better. I'm approaching my mid thirties. I could potentially give birth to some serious mutants.
