I adore Depp as Jack Sparrow, though.

Funny to note that since Pirate of Caribbean I was released, there's this guy who dresses up like Jack Sparrow at the Buffett concert every year in East Troy, WI.

Does a GREAT impression - grows the goatee long and long black hair and does the eye makeup and has a killer costume. Awesome-o!

seriously though, i'm sure its just actors. but damn, talk about a job that is going to get you made fun of by family and friends for years.

Exactly. They launched another one - same result. Apparently it is unclear if they were trying to hit us, or if they intended for the missles to land in the ocean. We sort of have our hands tied since they have nukes, I guess. (This is what I have gathered from news reports anyway).

Lordy people - I'm not reading all these back pages. Though I will say: The new superman was actually quite good. But now I need to go wash my mouth out with soap because I'm more of a Marvel girl myself - shame on me for liking a DC comic. :laugh:

I'm more of a marvel girl myself as well. Actually read some of the comics when I was with my ex. He got me into them. But seriously though, superman wasn't really that great. I really have to disagree. Compared to other sequels as well as the lack of character development it really was horrible (and horribly LONG - I got figety halfway through because it was so slow). They just had random bits in there, didn't develop Lex at all. It was all him and lois, which is important, but it just didn't it "do it for me".

I'd have to say the best sequal I've seen ever from a comic movie would have to be "Batman Begins". I'm also watching it right now 😳 Its a regular movie in our DVD player. It had just the right mixture of everything. Closely would be X2 and Blade 2, and of course I liked Elektra, but that was mostly b/c of Jennifer Garner 😀 Spiderman 2 that movie was ok but I just didn't like it. I'm looking forward to the venom match up.

Fantastic 4, Daredevil, Punisher, Hulk just didn't have the following that the others did which is why they didn't get sequels. Oh and Ghost Rider is going to be a joke. Their casting of Nick Cage is a REAL let down. And those are just marvel stuff, there's also Hellboy

Just did a little searching, there will be a Transformers, FF2, Wonder Woman, Hulk 2, Hellboy 2, and Wolverine. Then again these are all works in progress some in the really early stages. I'd love to see a Magdalena comic. I really liked that one. History wise.

it's really nutty here in my neighborhoood b/c it's the little italy of boston. everyone is driving around honking horns and the main street completely shut down!
