so are you reading blood/csf cultures, etc? i think they told us that a computer is constantly monitoring the blood cultures at our hospital but its the csf and urine cultures that have to be read by people.

i actually stopped by the deans office again today and asked for my score again. i told them its been 5 days and i still dont have it and the secretary actually looked like she felt sorry for me. i asked her if she could please just tell me and so she took my name and cell phone number and said she'd ask the dean of student affairs and call me if he says its ok. still no call.....

very cool dr.beary! all our csf results are coming back with like 400+ RBC's, our attending called them july taps because of the interns.

I'm feeling better - I have the sniffles now but my chest cough is going away. I'm going to go to my evening class I think. I had to reschedule my therapy appointments today though. I can't knowlingly go to a kid's house when I'm sick. My own ethical rules I guess.

thanks nichole! i just cant believe they dont post the damn scores online for us. i've never had to wait for a test score to come in the mail in my life. i've always gotten them online or over the phone.

you guys probably dont have the humidity though, its the biggest thing you have to adapt to down here.

it's actually very humid up here today, in addition to the heat. my apartment is so hot too (i don't have air conditioning). fortunately work is nice and cool 😎 😎

O: pt is diaphoretic and in distress. Appears fatigued. tachycardic, no m/r/g. Lungs are CTA bilaterally. Abd is soft, non tender and BS +. keeps asking for "SDN and WoW".
A/P: HO-1 with some form of withdrawal and appearing fatigued.

1. put in place a wireless router, STAT.
2. keep the patient in a cool room with plenty of fluids
3. destroy the patient's pager
4. f/u wireless router install, monitor pt closely for a few days and keep her home from residency.​
