I was happy when I graded (didn't look at the answers in depth) 3R cause I realized I missed fifteen questions because I had not covered the material yet. Today I covered a few more chapters and went back to answer the corresponding q's from 3R and I got most of them right. 😀

I hope man. I can kinda tell already that some of the stuff I missed was just b/c I hadn't studied the material yet.

I really wish I would have just stuck with EK and gone through all of them hardcore earlier.

So you're getting mid 30s without even knowing all the material yet? That's really good. I've already learned all the EK stuff and I'm getting 11-12 max on science. The questions I'm getting wrong were either: 1) stupid mistakes like not reading questions completely or 2) not in EK and I guessed wrong from passage info.

For science, I'm aiming for 13 in PS and 12 in BS (this will be hard, 10-11 more like it). VR is, wow, I guess drawing a number from a hat? I'd be more than happy with a 9.

I just saw this thread in this section where people are having 4R answer key problems. This probably means my science is more than it should be and verbal lower than it should be. 😀

&&^% Looking through this is pissing me off. I've had a couple pet peeves on this test about the printing.

One is missing an _ for an orbital configuration. The other is a discrete with refers to a molecule on the next passage.

I would be ecstatic with anything above a 30. I will change that goal as I take more PT though...we'll see. If I end of breaking a30 within the week my goal will be a 32.

Something like 11/10/11

Was this for a Kaplan exam? Which med schools do you want to go to? By the sounds of the high scores you want, MD/PhD?

That was so ridiculous!!!! I spent so much time racking my brain thinking "Is this some common molecule I'm supposed to know?" I finally gave up, turned the page and there was the *@&# molecule for the next passage. I ended up crediting myself that time. 😉

No...AAMC 7 question 15 if you want to see what im talking about.

I don't know what schools yet.

I'm still on the fence of MD/PhD

Well, a 13 PS 10 VR and 12 BS would be my dream. Not going to happen. I'd be VERY VERY VERY happy with a 32!!! I think the writing section will kill me. I don't think I will be good at fictional examples and I don't think I'd have enough time to think of a good example. VR and WS frustrate me. 🙁

My cousin is at UT-Houston in their MD/PhD program. He just finished his 4th or 5th year! Completed the PhD part I think. Now he's onto the 2 years of rotations and I think the last year as PhD stuff again. He took a 2 year break after he graduated from UPenn. He got into a lot of debt from that so he had to do an MD/PhD with gov't paying to get a free ride. I can't even remember his age anymore! 😛 I think he'll START residency at 32. I think he wants to do surgery, too, which adds a lot more time.

By the way, are you applying for the 2011 class or 12?

I got a 37 on AAMC 6. *shrugs* But I never did them in "real" testing environments; maybe that made the difference. I was always drinking coffee, answering my phone, not concentrating, watching the news... yeah I know, bad idea.

Do you want to go to the bathroom??? I actually didn't know you could bring food and drinks in the room. I planned to bring nothing and I guess I will keep it that way. Only lunch for me.

Remember the cake tantrum pic I posted of my older daughter on her first birthday a few days ago?

Here's my second daughter's version! LOL Not really a tantrum, though. She was just complaining a bit. Neither of them liked their first cake experience very much. :laugh:

Damn, you voided it?! I couldn't do that because I would feel bad losing my money. 🙁 This August MCAT is actually the only one I can take since I'm applying this year so I can't afford one mess up. That's why I'm also taking your advice and not driving off the testing site for lunch...

Alright, found it. This guy's wife was in the shower while their kid was playing with toys on the bathroom floor. His wife gets done and finds their daughter put all her toys inside the toilet!!!!

Oh, I know. I'm seriously scared of what things will be like when she's a teenager. I'll have to beat the boys away with a stick.

She's really, really photogenic. She's pretty in person, but something about seeing her in pictures just makes her even more striking. And yes I know I'm completely biased. 😉
