Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

We've been through highs and lows in Part 5. From the final matches of Andre Agassi's career to the loss of the World's friend, Mr. Steve Irwin. May he rest in piece.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

How much does property cost up there? Say several thousand acres? Or is it all National Parks?

In Nunavut? Probably dirt cheap. It's all wilderness except for a few scattered towns. I'm sure if you went there and built a house, no one would really care

i have tests tomorrow, thursday, friday... probably won't get done til saturday... I've been outlining all my ideas, I even started to just free-write to get something down on paper, but it was all crap. 🙁 I think I might be putting too much stock in to this PS business and I'm just freaking myself out about it

Damn dude. I know how you felt about this PS motivation.

I know there are tunnels and underground malls through a large portion of downtown in Toronto... I don't know if that's what you were thinking of

It's true...there is an underground mall in downtown Toronto

Just get one really crappy draft completely out then play around with it for awhile.

If it makes you feel better, I reread my PS yesterday (I was emailing it to a woman arranging a speaking gig for me) and I realized how much my PS really blew. Makes me the more thankful for my interviews

a speaking gig? 😕 Are you gonna be a motivational speaker for pre-meds or something?

Why you laugh at my dreams? 🙁

I'm sorry 🙁 I didn't mean to...It's just that it's cold barren wilderness up there. There really is no real estate to speak of in certain area...no roads, no stores. It's roughing it for sure. But if you can become a wilderness man and survive on what you can catch and kill, go for it. I think something like 85% of Canadians live within 200 *** of the US border...and the rest go far far north

I've seen a few of those in some of the rural counties in southern michigan. I gave my two cats away to an amish family down there, and it was quite an interesting experience. Seeing some 55 year old bearded dude with a 20 year old girl wasn't quite my taste... overall friendly and quiet folk though 😉

was it ever decided what the plural form of moose is ? Is it actually meese?

Here ya go...courtesy of good ol' wikipedia

Moose Trivia

* The plural of moose is not "meese", though "meese" is sometimes jokingly used due to the fact that the plural of goose is "geese".
* A group of moose is called a "Gang" or "Herd".
* The elk test is a test for vehicles doing rapid cornering, based on steering to avoid crashing into elks. This test was the embarrassing downfall of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class as the car rolled over and resulted in the A-Class being modified for better stability.
* A moose can swim for up to two hours and as far as twelve miles.
* Tycho Brahe (1546-1601), a famous physicist and astronomer, had a pet moose that once got drunk and died when it fell down the stairs in his castle[2].
* Moosecock is a town, now called Elvins, in Missouri.

No hard feelings. 🙂 I already have the wilderness man beard down so I guess I'm good to go.

Ok, they say it's NOT meese... but don't offer an answer... wikipedia has been disappointing me lately 👎

LOL. Well as long as you stick to areas where there are roads, then you should be all good 😀 There are some beautiful properties for relatively cheap about 500k north of the border. And then there are overpriced cottages where Goldie Hawn hangs out. I'd go for the former, if I were you. I'm sure you'd fit in better with the lumberjack beard 😉

It's just random people putting in whatever they want so they're usually wrong imo.

Someone in pre-allo said baby rats are called kittens. wtf

Never saw or heard about that. When was it? I liked him during his Chicago week. Dave Chappelle made his first interview after what happened then.

I think last summer? or maybe the summer before that... his trip up to Montreal where he made fun of the froggies was hillarious
