Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

results: 3 women, 3 curling irons, 3 hours, and god only knows how much hairspray. but those curls held, dammit!

couple of years ago my friend decided he wanted to celebrate his bday on the outdoor patio of a Mexican restaurant here. unfortunately, his bday is July 8. it was HELL. every time my friend and I went to the bathroom, I swear my hair had grown another inch horizontally :scared: :laugh:

All pics I posted are fully clothed. I know that some people here view this thread at work. 🙂 Plus, mine are all avatar size and harder to notice.

Morning everyone 😀 Off to the NICU then to the lab for a while late this afternoon to work with my PI. ugh. Long ass days recently. BUT instead of studying for a little last night I bought some music from BMG and got some GREAT stuff. I finally got snow patrols latest and greatest, the fray, and a few other goodies. 👍

morning all!

FINALLY got an email w/ secondary from Duke. This is supposed to be an excellent school...why is their secondary system SO disorganized? I heard people saying that Duke mentioned they might decide at some point to add character counts for the essays, but for now there are none! 😕

There's rumors floating around that they might limit them to 1000 characters, but I find that hard to believe considering the questions. Their late and unprofessional edits to the secondary have turned a lot of people off to Duke. Less competition for the rest of us! :clap:

Papa John's uses Mozzerella cheese. Not sure about Dominos or Pizza Hut. I worked as a delivery driver at Papa John's for about 3 years while in college. You can make some serious money having one in a college town, especially Thursday through Sunday nights!

My kitten just tried to climb up my leg and into my lap. Too bad I am wearing shorts instead of long jammies and now I have 2 sets of claw marks on my thigh!

No joke, the Papa John's in Gainesville at UF was doing great. The owner had a Hummer H1 (the old fashion, HUGE ones, not that H2 and H3 bs). It was white with the Papa John's livery all over it. He would take it to the football games and sell out a bunch of pizza there.

That's the one I couldn't think of! Is this the place that does the 100/100 thing? Someone ordered that and I found out it meant 100 burger patties and 100 slices of cheese, with just 1 regular hamburger bun. Doesn't sound too appetizing.

I didn't get it at first either, but their food is just so good to me for some reason. Everything tastes so high quality because everything is fresh. I really liked the "moster" style which I don't think is on the menu either. It's basically adding caramelized onions and thousand island. Mmmmmm😍
