Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

I'm obsessed with the Oregon Trail period. At Scottsbluff, Nebraska all the wagons had to get single file (because of the bluffs and the river). There are deep ruts in the ground from where they went through. 😍

Well, can't blame you for choosing #2. Southwest SD (Black Hills/Badlands) is my favorite part of the whole country.

But I 😍 Nebraska. There's just something about the big sky over the cornfields.

WOW VD!!!!! I didn't think that Texas could look that pretty. For some reason I had an impression of a pretty dry desert looking place whenever I hear Texas. Don't know why.

That's gorgeous.

That sounds AWESOME! I have been having major road trip cravings too. This trip to Cincy is awesome, and I even loved the drive down, but isn't really what I think of for a road trip. :laugh:

BUT tomorrow I get to see my niece!!!! 😍

I have to figure out which little book I am going to take to meet her at the airport. 🙂

(just kidding - reading biochem and following along with the thread)

You could fly into San Antonio and then we could jsut drive I-10 west - hit Davis Mountains, Balmorrhea Springs, McDonald Observatory 👍

I had a quote from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington as my link to my mdapps (when I had one: "Lost Causes are the only ones worth fighting for.") but then I was informed via private message that it was inappropriate with my MCAT 😡

7:30AM. 😡 It's 9:20PM now. The older one won't go to sleep yet because her daddy isn't here. I don't know what has gotten into the little one. She's usually crashed by now.
