Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Yea, people have noticed, which is why I'm cutting back after the last thread finished. I think RAD is the same way. We both spent a lot of time during that one. I'm going to spend more time working on my apps and getting some EC/work in so I need to focus on that now.

That's a lot of work. I don't think I could ever go back to school unless it's for MD work. I can't say I find much other post-bacc stuff interesting.

Hi guys. My niece is really sick. 🙁 I guess she got sick on the plane with bad GI symptoms, and now she has a fever and is SO lethargic. She's just a little limp doll. She's hardly talking and is just burning up. She's making this terrible sad moaning sound. Anyway, we put her in bed and read to her and now she seems to be sleeping. I sure hope she feels better tomorrow! It breaks my heart to see her feeling so bad.

I'm having a nice time with my bro and SIL now - we're watching football, catching up, and just sitting here with our computers. All 3 of us. My mom is making fun of us all 3 sitting here with our laptops.

It is great to see everybody though! I just hope my niece gets better!

Well that and tequilla are all the Spanish words you need to know.
Well that AND, "Dame un beso."

But, my Spanish is HORRIBLE and I STILL knew that wasn't Spanish.

I was thinking it was "la francaise" b/c I was using it as a noun, et c'est une langue, qui est feminin. je ne sais pas si ca c'est correcte. (and seriously- we need some accents on here!)

and for the record, I minored in French, although a recent review of my transcript indicates that my highest grade in any college-level French class was a B. 😳

You can always go to the online translator that is linked to http://www.learnspanish.com

its cool. It has an online translator for french to english, english to french, spanish to english, english to spanish and quite a few other different translator things on there too.

It might or might not be completely proper but it will definitely be close enough.

Your french is probably waaaay better than mine. I took it upto grade 10. The teacher I had that year was a total jerk, so I switched to Espanol 🙂 A much prettier language, IMHO

So I just got a call from a really great friend of mine. I had loaned her my AO in mp3 format and all my EK books. She kept telling me that AO mp3s wouldn't open on her computer. Turns out she was trying to open them in Word.

That's why I keep a few Spanish-speaking kids on my caseload. I'm REALLY good at talking with 3-year olds!

I def. understand a lot more than I speak, be it Spanish or Polish. Since I speak Spanish more often I have an easier time speaking it than Polish. I have to be around Polish people a while anymore to converse rather than gather my thoughts and write 🙂

Ok, now I'm off to bed.

I wrote that I was sleepy, but I wanted to say hi to my favorite peeps. I also enjoy talking/writing in Spanish and Polish!

well, again- I graduated college 10 yrs ago, and my last class was junior year.. so I guess mine's 11 years rusty? not so hot with it anymore.... we're probably on an even level!
