Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

yo beary..I can see that Chem is really strenuous. :meanie:

I am in the library trying to get my math homework done before I have my nutrition study group this evening. I DO NOT want to do ANYTHING when I get home. I wish my laptop was getting more than 38 minutes on a fully charged battery. It is a BRAND NEW battery. Any suggestions?? (other than "yo, TypeA, take it back!)

that's weird.

i usually take my battery out of my laptop when i have it plugged in... cause i think it kills the battery life if i don't

Haha, yeah, chem is super strenuous. 😀 I have already studied quite a bit this morning (path stuff, not gotten to Step 3 yet). It is really nice to actually be able to learn some stuff! I had a very nice lunch while reading Newsweek. They had somebody playing piano in the cafeteria. You will be delighted to know that I had an apple for dessert. 😉

My laptop battery sucks too. This totally stinks but I just carry around the power cord and tether myself to a wall socket. Best wishes with your studying! 😍

Ugh that blows - who did you buy the battery from? Any kind of warranty?

it's cold in boston already. 45 when i got up this morning! :wow:

Yeah, I saw that on headline news!

I am incredibly sleepy now. I have the post-lunch, nothing-to-do, cloudy-rainy day thing going on.

*considers going home for a while and coming back for conference*

I have microlab soon 😴 I so wish I didn't need to go.

Oh and I'm sad, I need a lab manual for A&P so I ordered one last week off of half.com. They just NOW cancelled my order. 🙁 So I had to order a new one; I doubt it will be here in time.

I think the best day in my entire career will be when I get my own personal office. I am going to pimp it out with:

1) WoW
2) a driving wheel for NASCAR simulation
3) couch for naps
4) lots of bulletin board space for me to tack up my innumerable little lists
5) my own personal phone
6) a window

Somehow I made it through medical school without ever learning how to interpret blood gases. I just got to that section in my little review book and remember thinking before Step 2, "Ahh, I don't need to know these." 😳

Probably not going to learn it now!
