Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Thanks guys for the thumbs up on the exam. I guess my nervousness lies in the grading scale - no curves. Strict 90-80-70-60. But, there are a lot of points to get outside the exams that help (lab write-ups, quizzes, group participation).

My physics class is curved so that a 75% is an A!

My friend's mom bought him some brownies for valentine's day. Can't remember the name, but it's like "Best Brownie Company" something unoriginal. Anyways, he had 2 packages of them. Like $35 a package. 😱 6 brownies in each so almost $6 each. He didn't like them (only likes his mom's homemade cooking, not even his gf's :laugh: ) so I ate them all. It was good. 👍

every rotation is different, this is a 6 week rotation that requires we make two 20 minute presentations to the group during this time. some students present on the 6th week. i'm first up this week and then again next week so its not like i had too many weekends to prep for it but at least i'll have it done so that my last 3 weeks of the rotation are nice and stress free with just seeing patients and reading.

sounds like fun...but i like presentations. i guess it depends on your style.

I had to give a presentation yesterday too. Yeah, med school's a blast, isn't it. 😎

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi to everyone. 🙂 Tomorrow is going to be a really busy day and I am not sure I'll have time to log on at all. 🙁

Would you believe I never gave a presentation in college? I had 3 in senior year of high school and that was the last experience ever for that. :laugh:

Are you using ppt? Those are my favorite kinds of presentations.

Ha ha, I would say that I can't complain, except that I already did. :meanie: Actually, I really can't complain. It's hard, it's a lot of work, but it's really a blast, and it's WAY better than having a real job. :idea:

Hmm, seems to me that someone needs to be reminded who's boss. And by "someone," I mean Arsenic. And by "who's boss," I mean me. 😀

I'm doing ok. Tired. I need to get off SDN and go do something more useful. One of my classmates asked me today how I have time to do SDN on top of everything else. I told him that I don't sleep much. 😛
