Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

We still have these chocolate things in the fridge from like November. It's dark chocolate, but you're not supposed to chew it. It's covered with chocolate powder. They're like a bunch of small golfballs.

love dark chocolate.....they're prob truffles...love those too

The only reason I'm looking at domestics AT ALL is because Toyota makes the engine 👍 I can feel good about buying American and still not get a POS car.

Toyota quality has fallen, though. Some Nissans are built in the US along with some Hondas. Hell, even some BMWs are made in the US.

Ford uses Mexico to make cars a lot.

Yea, tuffles, but not the French stuff that is found in the ground by dogs that's extremely expensive.

Not a fan of dark chocolate. It's bitter. You probably like cranberry juice. Gross. 👎

Why did you even bring it up! Jeez...!!!
if you MUST know..........

one of my colleagues is a total cheapskate. all of his ties come from Goodwill- he pays a buck for them. whatever he can get cheap, he will, even if he doesn't need it. but it was a BARGAIN, dammit!

he also has kind of a fetish for anything GNC/other health stores. so he has whatever frequent shopper card they have. he is there so much that they know him by name.

so one day, he saw Sylvester Stallone pudding on the clearance racks at GNC. apparently they were very close to expiration. so he bought them. all of them. by the case. however, he and his wife have no kids... so what to do? what to do? the answer was obvious...

he started giving away cases of expired Sylvester Stallone pudding to friends as gifts.

one friend walked into her office and found one on her desk. another friend came home and found one on her doorstep. both had the same reaction.

"WTF am I supposed to do with an entire case of expired Sylvester Stallone pudding??????????????????"

so there you go, Will. a funny story, but not nearly so much to you as to me, as you don't know the players.

I don't like juice in general....never was a big fan of dark choco at first.....used to love milk choco when i was little but now good dark choco is sooooo yummy!!!

I actually started this whole damn process by looking at a Kia Spectra5 which is still a car I really love... I'm going to crack up if I went round and round and I finally end up with a Kia.

LMAO!!! That is hilarious!!!!

What even funnier is that GNC is all overpriced and a ripoff. You can find that stuff online much cheaper. GNC FTL!

listen--one of my friends has a ford fusion--just rode in it today--it is so cute!

+1

Where hell have you been? lol 😀

Probably enjoying the Canadian landscape while I have rain...

LOL, I've been around. Too much on the go, but I always come back to SDN 😀 I'm a TA now, so that's taking a lot of time up. Boo!!

We've got rain too! It's weird though, because there's blue sky, but some of the clouds make it rain

Ana, have you considered the Jeep Compass? those look pretty cool, smaller than your current Jeep but bigger than the Vibe, and the price isn't too bad.
I drove a Liberty and LOVED it... I just need something smaller than that 🙁 I thought I had found a good compromise in the Vibe but now I'm starting to worry.

And I LOVE classic cars; my dream car is a '67 Mustang but if I'm going for more practical that sure as hell isn't the right direction.

 he wound up spending more money by buying cases of almost expired pudding

Honda Element and Toyota FJ-Cruiser 👍

 :meanie:

I think the compass is smaller than the Liberty though.. and I thought they were starting below 15K, so that's cheaper, too

.......unless it's replacing the Liberty? but I didn't think so...

Someone who TA's masters course = genious in my book. I have trouble as it is teaching high school kids.

Aw shucks!!

I tutored kids in high schools. Either one's a challenge...you don't wanna give them the answers...but you want to help them get a  moment. It's fun to watch them learn!

:barf: BOTH the FJ and Element are gross.

Get a BMW X5. Made in the good 'ole US of A. Seriously, it is. South Carolina.

Of course I'll be getting a Mercedes if I can afford it, but those 2 cars will do for now. OTOH, I can't even afford either

I didn't say NEW. lol. German cars depreciate insanely. You'd be surprised. You can get a 2001 BMW 750iL (V12 engine) for $20k and less (new was $100k). Awesome. 👍

GA premiere didnt meet up to my expectations after last seasons finale

It was dramatic as always....my hubby seems to like it though so gotta watch it by default.....well actually since I have limited channels to watch 😀

TypeA- back me up here! Does he REALLY want to go to St. Matthews???????????

I was waiting for you to set this one up.....

NOOOO

But, if there is still any question, I am sure that we could set him up for a "short" convo.

I'm more of the constantly asking them questions about the problem in order til they get an answer, but I work it out. All they end up doing is plugging in numbers as basic algebra.

I really want a new car....we have a 2002 Nissan Sentra, would have loved to get a Civic at the time, but Sentra seemed to be more economical for what we're getting. Also have a 1997 Saturn which we got second hand.
