Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

No time to really catch up - but I noticed you like the Jeep Liberty Ana. I had one of those before I got my Pacifica and I LOVED it. Horrible gas mileage, though. 😉 We needed a bigger car for two kids. It's really small SUV - I'm surprised you think it is too big. Why do you want something smaller?

Not smaller really - just better gas mileage. I think I'm going to try and buy a 2007 Vibe because there's some great deals going on right now. and GM has that new warranty. I'm going to go test drive one tommorrow.

Hey Will I am applying to UCSF....haven't gotten past the screening yet though. Not keeping my hopes up.

I do have an mdapps, I just took it out of my sig.

M3, mdapps doesn't allow others to search profiles while the person is in the application process, right? Only after they select that "matriculated" box? I don't want people searching for mine. I just made it. I rather not have any people from the schools being able to see it. Know what I mean?

You can uncheck the box "exclude incomplete profiles"

now i just have to play with the animations in powerpoint and add a few things here and there but for the most part its done.

ha, yeah... if anyone ever tries to tell me that med school is not like highschool i'll laugh in their face.

Woohoo!!! Congrats on getting it done and best wishes on the actual presentation. I have to do chemistry grand rounds next week and may work on that today for like half an hour or something. 😳

hahahahaha. Yeah most med students I know would agree with you!!!!!!!! I don't know if I actually no anyone that would disagree. My friend who recently started in August said med school thus far reminds him of being an IB student all over again, a lot of material and a short amount of time to know it. :laugh: :laugh:

Ha! When everyone was saying Happy Birthday to Oxeye I wasn't sure if it was really her birthday until I looked it up on facebook because I saw Nikki's message saying Go Oxeye its your birthday, which I thought she was doing in a joking manner referring to the interview and all. :laugh: :laugh:

But Happy Birthday and Good luck on the interview. Now if the school just gives you an awesome birthday present belatedly saying Congratulations you are accepted to our medical school. 😛 BTW I'm sure they will do just that. 😛
