Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

I may have to start watching Grey's Anatomy just so I know WTF you people are talking about.

Although I am feeling a little better about my pop-culture IQ... I guessed what "FTW" stood for and when I checked Urban Dictionary, I was right... but then, the fact that I went and checked is nothing more than a testament to my utter unhip-ness.

So, essentially, I'm very confused.

But I'm very happy, since I'm allowing myself some time off tonight and I had some wine. 🙂

you guessed FTW ? impressive, someone had to explain that one to me

So you were unsure? Did you think it meant Faster Than Light?

FTL!
 Yes, I was unsure. I could only think of one thing that would fit "FTW" but I was alert to the possibility that my creativity could have been lacking. 🙂

I think "FTL" should definitely be the new cool thing.

Hey people!!!

What did I miss about the whole checking with the restaurant manager about the oil used in the food? 'Cause that was/is my life with my boyfriend. Just curious if someone else out there is allergic to cottonseed oil. 🙂

Ask JLW...She'd love to tell the story.

wow... it's not even october yet and you guys get to register ? 😱
Honors students get first dibs. My advising is tomm. and the registration is like the 28th of October.

So far I have:
Computer Info Systems, Honors Marketing, Honors Seminar "What it takes to be a CEO, and Intro to Math Physics.

I want an easy A unlike Art History...+pissed+

Wow, Tucker, you can't just take it easy with that schedule?

god i seriously can't even remember the electives that i took.....i just remember all the major classes

it looks like a fun class....but i can imagine it could be a hard class (not an easy A) if your prof is an a$$.

There's only 1 professor. The auditorium holds 660 students and it's filled to capacity.

She tells us the number of T and F questions on each exam, lol! Tons of extra credit, too. I got like a 110% in the class. The only people who failed never did the simple "personal reponse" 300 word assignments.

That is an easy schedule, but I want a "diversity" class that is a guarenteed A.
Easy classes that I have known and loved:

Medical History of Sex and Sexuality
Japanese Culture and Society
Poetry Workshop
Ethical Problems in Biomedical Technology
Intro and Intermediate Acting
American Ideals & Identity

None of them were terribly hard, and all of them were fun.

my elective classes were physics, math, and engineering classes (my majors at one point or another)... not very fun

I would totally take these classes!
