update from the wish-we-were-in-A^2 front:

I leave work tonight around midnight. Get to the car- message on my cell phone. TypeA has called. I think "Hmmmm.. It's 12:10. Which means it's 1:10am there. I'll call them anyway." 😀

result:
3 Randommes are found to be in the following states:

sober, but thinks all the drunk people are funny

someone who is giggling so hard that she can't get a coherent word out.

PWH is the only testosterone anywhere near that house, poor dude.

Hi from beary! VD and Penny (anxiously awaiting first appearance) have left and PW and PWH petered out and went to bed. 😛

😍 for PW, PWH, Ana, Penny, and T! This has been one of the best weekends I have had for a LONG LONG time!!

Hmm... according to the ABC college football coverage map for tomorrow, Texas at Nebraska is on ABC to almost all of the nation (including here). My TiVo is not showing it. WTF? 🙁

They weren't as taxing as I thought they would be. Only about half my interviewers even asked me about my own research. The rest was just talking about the school and the program.

The MD interviews were laid back too. The hardest question I got was "what do you think is the biggest problem in the US healthcare system, and what about in Africa?" So you can tell how easy the other questions were 😀 The MD interviews were mainly talking about the school, also.

Well - did you at least like the town? Or did you get to see that much of it?

Yesterday afternoon, Penny and I walked around downtown area for awhile. I loved all the used bookstores (including one called Dawn Treader Books - $1 to who gets the reference 😍 ) and vintage clothes stores. We found one really great coffeehouse too (with awesome pumpkin bread) I really think A^2 is my kind of town.

So, Ana's staying with me this weekend and I'm trying to give her a taste of A^2. Being the good paradoxical conservative hippie she is, it should be her haven. She says something about meeting ppl from some forum...

And the rest is history. So here I am 😎

Is it a bad sign that I never get those ethical/political questions? They always want to talk about my application and ECs


And see how I "finally tie it all together" :meanie: (Beary: I really hope that women just said that in a bad way)

Well that question was just randomly thrown in there. It was the only political question I got. I didn't get any ethical questions.

I saw alot of the university area. It's a nice town - practically a mirror image of my hometown.
